As a multidisciplinary engineering consultancy, we support our clients across all aspects related to energy performance and building sustainability.
As part of strengthening our energy team, we are looking for an experienced PEB Advisor who will act as a technical reference, strategic advisor, and guarantor of PEB quality, from design to execution.
As a certified PEB Advisor, you support construction and renovation projects of all types (residential, tertiary, public facilities, both new builds and renovations) in terms of energy performance and indoor climate.
You carry out and supervise PEB studies, mainly in the Brussels-Capital Region and Wallonia, ensuring that projects comply with current PEB regulations.
From the design phase onward, you optimize energy performance (building envelope, systems, ventilation, renewable energy) and advise design teams—architects, engineers, and clients—to achieve high-performance energy solutions.
Your Responsibilities
Studies, Consulting, and Execution Follow-up
- Prepare and monitor PEB declarations (residential and/or non-residential)
- Advise architects, engineers, and project owners on PEB requirements
- Perform energy calculations and thermal loss calculations
- Review plans, specifications, calculation notes, and technical sheets
- Ensure compliance between design, execution, and regulatory requirements
- Monitor projects from design phase through completion and final declaration
- Communicate with authorities and other stakeholders
Reference Role and Mentoring
- Act as the internal PEB reference for Brussels and Wallonia
- Supervise and train junior and intermediate profiles
- Organize and lead internal training sessions and knowledge sharing
- Monitor developments in PEB regulations
- Contribute to continuous improvement of PEB methods, tools, and procedures
Your Profile
- Certified PEB Advisor
- Minimum 5 years of proven experience in a similar role
- Degree in construction, engineering, architecture, or equivalent
- Good command of PEB software (Wallonia / Brussels / Flanders)
- Knowledge of building physics and energy systems
- Ability to take on a reference and mentoring role
- Strong analytical skills, rigor, and good communication abilities
- Good knowledge of French (Dutch and/or English is an asset)
Additional Skills (Assets)
One or more of the following are considered a plus:
- Knowledge of PHPP software
- Knowledge of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) for buildings
- Knowledge of the TOTEM tool
- Sustainability certifications and frameworks: BREEAM, LEED, GRO
- Holistic approach to sustainability and environmental performance
