Our organisation is looking for a NEN 2767 inspector who can independently carry out condition assessments and advise clients on defects, risks, maintenance and improvements.

What will you do?

As a NEN 2767 inspector, you will be responsible for carrying out condition assessments and inspections of buildings, building elements and/or building-related installations. You will carefully and objectively document the technical condition of building elements and translate your findings into clear, practical short-term recommendations.

You will assess the visual defects identified based on, among other things:

risk parameters such as safety, health, consequential technical damage, business operations and aesthetics.

You will use these assessments to determine the condition score for each building element in accordance with the NEN 2767 standard.

Your activities in carrying out condition assessments in accordance with NEN 2767 will include:

visually inspecting building elements and/or building-related installations;
assessing and classifying defects in these building elements and/or building-related installations in accordance with the applicable defect lists;
determining the condition score of building components and installations based on the standard;

advising on repair measures, maintenance strategies and priorities based on the risk parameters;
discussing inspection results with clients and property managers;
supporting multi-year maintenance planning and property management;
keeping your professional knowledge up to date and following developments in the fields of condition assessment, inspections and maintenance.

Depending on your knowledge and experience, you may be involved in inspections of, among other things:

building elements such as roofs, façades, external joinery and structural components;
electrical installations;
climate-control and ventilation systems;
transport systems;
interior fittings and finishes, as well as external site infrastructure;
sustainable installations, such as solar panels and electric vehicle charging infrastructure, across the various disciplines.

Who are you?

We are looking for a knowledgeable and independent colleague who places great importance on quality. You work in a structured manner, have an eye for detail and can translate technical findings into clear conclusions and practical recommendations.

In addition, you have:

recent training or a certificate in NEN 2767;
relevant work experience in the construction sector, property inspections, maintenance or building management;
experience in identifying, qualifying and recording defects;
knowledge of building elements and/or building-related installations;
an affinity with maintenance planning, property management and inspection reporting;
good digital skills and experience with inspection or property management software;
a category B driving licence;
a good command of Dutch and/or French, both verbally and in writing;
a precise, customer-focused and professional attitude;
the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
What will make you successful in this role?

You are not only able to identify defects, but also understand what they mean for the safety, functionality, maintenance costs and lifespan of a building or building installation. You work independently and objectively, and you know how to communicate your findings clearly to clients, building managers and other stakeholders.
