IT Project Manager

Your role
You belong to the team Project Management that consists of eight project managers that help the whole organization with IT projects and initiatives. In your role you will manage various projects from start to end. You will lead the project team towards goals and request necessary decisions and approvals from the project steering committees. We run hybrid-agile and waterfall projects depending on what suits each specific project.
 
You will also be part in planning and delivering IT consolidation projects, which are born from mergers and acquisitions at Sweco, ensuring a smooth transition to harmonized systems, processes and infrastructure. You will work closely with business stakeholders, global and local IT teams and external partners across multiple countries. 

Recurring tasks for this position include:

  • Resource allocation, project budgeting and project administration (such as setting up meeting structures, creation of project plan etc.)
  • Leading the project team towards creating proposals and solutions which upon approval will be implemented
  • Facilitate meetings with various steering committees as well as with other senior representatives at Sweco IT, such as CIO, CISO, Unit or Team Managers.
  • Follow-up and reporting of project progress according to set routines
  • Ensuring that each project follows the set methods and processes within the Project Management Team as well as for all Sweco IT and Sweco. 

The role is located in Belgium and with possibilities to hybrid work setup. 

We believe that you have:

  • Relevant education within Project Management, or have acquired this skillset within previous employments
  • Several years of experience managing complex IT projects
  • Proven experience within Mergers and Acquisitions
  • Worked within an IT-context for a couple of years, either as a project manager or perhaps with IT Infrastructure, system/service development or IT-support
  • The capability to manage multiple projects in parallel
  • Worked with Microsoft Office, and know your way around SharePoint and Teams
  • Strong written and verbal skills in English
  • It is an advantage if you have experience working with the Nordic market

Which location can I work at?

With more than 25 offices spread across Flanders and Wallonia, we focus on proximity for our employees and clients. So there is definitely an office near you. We strive to make our offices easily accessible by public transport or by car.

Our teams often have a "home base" or work on specific days when the team is present at a specific location. Are you looking for a familiar workplace? Are you a bit of an adventurer and like to meet other colleagues and visit different offices? It's all possible. No procedures or complex login processes. You are welcome at any office.
